POX-ECLIPSE are bringing the wasteland to the city

“Listen on! Listen on! This is the truth of it. Fighting leads to killing, and killing gets to warring, and that was damn near the death of us all. Look at us now, busted up and everyone talking about hard rain! But we’ve learned! By the dust of ’em all, Bartertown’s learned. Now, when men get to fighting, it happens here, and it finishes here! Two men enter, one man leaves…”

The THUNDERDOME will be erected in all its glory for your viewing pleasure, “Thunderdome’s simple. Get to the weapons. Use them any way you can. I know you won’t break the rules. There aren’t any.”

BARTERTOWN:  a ramshackle micro-village where ‘clans’ from POX-ECLIPSE will be selling and trading wares in the shadow of the THUNDERDOME to all that pass through.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Damon Pages-Oliver, Laurie Caddy and Kristan Angel are the team that brought the Wasteland to Western Australia.

With a combined experience of over 60 years in events working festivals such as The Big Day Out, Dark Mofo, Soundwave, Stereosonic, and a slew of independent and local productions,  the team joined forces in 2022 to bring Australia it’s first major Wastelander event, ‘POX-ECLIPSE’.

With up to 20 bands making their way to Southern Cross yearly to play the main stage and an abundant array of Clans building the Bartertown on site and a convoy of Mad Max style cars, POX-ECLIPSE is an amazing, large scale immersive event which is unique to Australia and an experience like no other.

2024 sees Strange Festival and Yagan Square invited the golden triangle team of Logistics, Build and Art Direction to activate the Perth CBD with its own unique post-apocalyptic, fantasy style for the enjoyment of all those who witness or participate.
