“Through the eyes of a child, explore the world around us that is full of humour, wonder and imagination!”- Playschool ABC
Jill Paynter is a Perth Boorloo-based artist whose work primarily consists of installation and soft sculpture, her works drawing inspiration from childhood nostalgia and the animated worlds of the imagination.
Paynter’s inquisitive spirit explores the depths of her mind, bringing to life micro landscapes that transport viewers to a world of wonder, as if looking through a window, experiencing a colourful and immersive journey through the whimsical landscape of the hyper-distracted mind.
As an artist with ADHD, Paynter hopes to not only spark conversation and understanding of neuro-diversity, but also create a space for those with similar experiences to feel represented and celebrated.
