Scylla’s Lair
- Savoy
Inspired by the Strange world beneath the waves and the little we know about this weird
and mysterious place.
Scylla is a mythical monster of the deep ocean, once a beautiful nymph turned into a
terrible monster who lures sailors into her lair.
This installation speculates at the scene of Scylla’s graveyard and her past meals.
Paynter-O’Meehan incorporates typically beautiful art techniques and materials to imitate
the remains of Scylla’s prey, scattered across the ocean floor
